Smart Casual fall Look book

Smart casual is a fair blend between dapper and street style chic as the look combines the comfort of a casual outfit with the overall appeal of a clean and more elevated look.

Look 1

  • Swagged out in Paul Smith from head to toe in a comfortable look that make you feel right at home. The look consists of a white shirt with a bit of a bib detail, chinos with a tappered fit. The outfit is much better with the shirt untucked. The black bomber jacket and white sneakers give the look a bit of contrast.

Look 2

This next look pushes the color blocking boundaries as it combines a number of vibrant colors and textures. The look consists of a lightweight gray sweater, mid- heavy weight mustard coach jacket, monochromatic sneakers and pants that are both sweatpants and trousers.

Look 3

This next look is more appropriate for the colder winter months because it is very thick and insulated. The outfit is monochromatic for the most part and it conprises of a black lightweight turtle neck, black form fitting chinos a thick burgundy overcoat paired with Jim Ricky sneakers and accessories.

Avant garde (street style 2019) + top trends

Baroque themed pieces- baroque goes really accentuates a plain coloured article of clothing. Baroque has got mad style an0d can be paired with so many pieces because it is so versatile that you could either go for a street chic look or elevate the a more classy look.

Gold jewellery is making a come back for real. TAYROC is an amazing brand dominating the market in designing quality time pieces. The TMX 053 in all gold definitely stands out and adds the perfect finishing touch to complete the entire outfit.

Sage coloured pieces. Sage is looking pretty hot right now as far as coloured trends go, which is very bold, vibrant and expressive which is also the direction we see the fashion industry heading in. In images below you can clearly see that the sage colour has a classical look to it with a modern pop.

Loud prints are in this season and you can either go big or go home. If you identify more with street style then grabbing a couple of accent pieces will be a great addition to your wardrobe, in case you haven’t done so yet.

Animal prints are most definitely making a major come back into the world of fashion, particularly leopard print and in choosing an animal print piece, pick out something that will surely leave it’s mark as they continue to become a trend in 2019.

Improve your overall style without having to go shopping

Clothing, looking stylish and generally building a wardrobe can be rather pricy, but it doesn’t always have to be that way. The existing clothes in your wardrobe are adequate enough to provide you with multiple outfit combinations.

Cuffing your pants -is a cool funky way to add spunk to the bottom half of your outfit. There are a couple of folds you could execute depending on the kind of look you are going for. The simple roll is a simple turn over that exposes the bottom seam of your pants. The tuck and roll is as simple as it sounds and I highly recommend it for wider leg pants as it creates an instant fitted look. Finally wide cuffing usually looks best with wide leg pants especially jeans and the wide cuff goes well with western boots and sometimes sneakers.

Sleeves- Rolling up your sleeves instantly adds a tapered and more masculine touch to your overall outfit. For the first look we have a plain t-shirt, plain black pants and sneakers. Loosely tuck in the shirt into the pants then give your sleeves a tapered fold to get a muscle fit. With the second look basically do the same with a formal shirt.

Stylish layering-adding a bunch if different colours and textures from the clothes in your wardrobe will help you come up with new combinations and variations with the clothes you already have. Make sure to always accessorise because accent pieces help elevate the look. Layers will also help keep you warm in the colder months.

The concept is to flip the pieces you already have in your wardrobe. These style tips may not always appeal to everybody, but it really doesn’t hurt to switch it up every once in a while.

5 Popular 2019 Men’s Fashion Trends

Cross body bags/ fanny packs- It is a very functional bag when carrying small items, but they largely serve as a fashion statement to add detail to one’s outfit. The very best thing about these bags is your girl won’t ever need to carry your things in her purse when you go out.

Layering- The average man typically wears 1 or 2 layers when it gets cold out. Layering properly is about stacking your different pieces together to get more dimension out of your look. The greatest benefit of layering is, it allows you more outfit choices, just don’t overkill with too many colors.

Patterns- Literally all kinds of patterns are trending right now and sometimes they are bright and bold and other times the patterns are a little bit more subtle. Patterns are the in thing right now as they appear on shirts, coats and high fashion run-ways. They aren’t the easiest trend to pull off, but when you do you’ll be a very stylish guy where ever you go.

Branded long socks-Kinda crazy right ? well research has shown that 2018 holds the record for the most purchased socks ever. People aren’t growing more feet instead the fashion industry has found a way to revolutionize an exsisting product. Even in the entertainment industry, dance sneakers are paired with branded socks to create a fashion statement.

Sneakers -Sneakers in general are trending and in the previous year alone, we’ve  seen more high end fashion designers making shoes to satisfy their customers i.e brands like Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton. 2019 is the year to expect more high fashion sneakers from the “big guns” in the fashion industry.

DIY Men’s Thrifted Clothes

Flip your simple, basic thrifted clothes into trendy, hip and unique pieces.

Begin the first craft on a plain pair of jeans, then make sure to covers all the areas you don’t want to paint over with musking tape. Spray paint texture and color with the fabric paint, to spruce up the look just a bit. Allow the paint to dry fully before washing the denim.

On a plain t-shirt, trace a quote or pattern onto a shirt. With a needle and embroidery cotton, hand stitch the pattern. For thicker embroidery sew over each character or word multiple times over.

The next look is for an edgy, experimental and trendy craft that literally requires nothing but a pair of scissors and light assembly. Spread out your thrift sweater and mark a point to start cutting for when you crop the sweater. If the end of the sweater has a thick and chunky bottom, sew it back onto the newly croppped sweater to give it a factory finish. This method of cutting, croppping and pasting also works with hoodies.Flex your washboard abs

Glue down a metal chain to the length of the leg on the side seam of plain, preferably black trousers, to give your formal pants a fun spin that is very simple and rewarding.

Enjoy your crafting and enjoy the fashion playground.

Top 5 Winter/Fall Jackets

1. Denim jackets could be layered with a hoodie or another undergarment to keep you warm. Denim jackets also have a very wide variety, there are long ones, distressed ones, oversized ones and they are available in a number of color variations. There are also heavy duty denim jackets with padding on the inside.

2. Nike tech longline jacket. This jacket is a hybrid of a hoodie and a coat/ jacket. An amazing thing about this jacket is, despite it’s large size it is very light weight and practical enough to wear any other day.

3. Windbreakers are a semi- waterproof solution to keep you warm and dry in any weather. Windbreakers are lightweight and easy to roll up and put away. They are a very practical piece that doesn’t take away from your outfit.

4. Bomber jackets are classic and have really been in style for a very long time, I really like that bomber jackets can add that kind of smart casual touch to your ouftit. The bomber jacket is also very light weight and can be worn for just a bit of layering when it gets cold out, as opposed to wearing a massive trench coat. You can never go wrong with a bomber jacket.

Fifth and finally Trench coat jacket. Big oversized, heavy-duty jackets will most definitely keep you warm during the winter. A simple straightforward and great way to style the coat is with boots, jeans and a beanie as they create a “winter look” that will keep you warm and cozy.

I hope you enjoy these fun suggestions on how to style your outfit with weather appropriate jackets.

Spruce up your old denim!

DIY Fandom jeans

cut and distress a lose pair of jeans and make sure you have the pair flipped inside out before beginning this process.Paint an image with a fabric paint onto the denim clothing.

For a fun look, cut off the arms of the denim jacket as well as the arms of an old hoodie for this DIY. Leaving seam allowance, connect the sleeve from the hoodie to the denim jacket, after assembling this the craft should be complete.

T shirt decor ideas

Start off the craft by cutting out the template design.Using a craft foam sheet, apply pressure to the template so the drawing can trace onto the foam. Cut out the design from the foam sheet with a cutting knife. Glue the design onto a piece of cardboard then carry on stacking and gluing to create layers. Paint (with fabric paint) the template, making sure to be precise.Stamp the t-shirt immediately after painting. Do make sure to have something inside the t-shirt so the paint doesn’t transfer from the pressure. And if the design doesn’t fully appear on the shirt don’t be afraid to fill it in with more paint.

Start off this craft with a plain pocketless t-shirt, organize a contrasting fabric and cut it into the size of a pocket after tracing it out. Then sew on the pocket with a machine or a very careful backstitch.
